How to Make Your Own Coin Keychain

Whether you have tokens saved from a carnival, pennies stashed away in a piggy bank or collectors coins sitting around the house, consider using these metals to create a keychain. This simple, do-it-yourself craft can give new purpose to old coins and can be accomplished with a drill and a few tools.
Avoid using a valuable coin because you will have to drill a hole into the coin to convert it into a keychain.
Use a small drill bit to drill one hole into one side of the coin, close to the edge. The hole should be big enough to fit a metal ring through.
Place the metal ring through the hole on the coin.
Attach a swivel hook to the metal ring through the bottom hole of the hook so that your keychain can attach to a bag or purse. This step is optional.
