How to Cook Steak on a Cuisinart Griddler

Updated April 17, 2017

The cuisinart Griddler can cook a variety of foods. It has top and bottom griddles, which drain away fat, leaving your food leaner and healthier. Cooking steak on this machine is simple and quick. You can prepare your steak before cooking with a marinade or rub, then pop it on the grill.

  1. Turn on the Griddler. If you need to select "grill," as is necessary on newer models, turn the knob to select this option. Wait until the indicator light is green.

  2. Open the cover and place the steaks on the bottom grill. Close the top grill, but don't press down.

  3. Let the steaks cook, taking their temperature periodically with a meat thermometer. When they are -15 degrees Celsius below the desired temperature, remove them from the grill. The cooking usually takes 4 to 10 minutes, depending on how you like your steak.

  4. Let the steaks rest for 10 minutes before serving.
