A Swatch Musical watch is battery-operated and tells time with an analogue display. You can set an alarm to go off when you need a reminder, and different models of the Swatch Musical watch will each play a single melody written by a musician such as Peter Gabriel, Jean Michel Jarre or Philip Glass. If the watch needs to be reset, as when the battery runs out or when you travel to another time zone, you can easily adjust it.

Pull the crown, a small knob on the right side of the watch, out to the second position.

Turn the crown clockwise to adjust the date.

Pull the crown all the way out to the third position, and then turn it in either direction to advance the time forward or backward until you reach the correct time.

Push the crown down into first position, flush with the watch, to save the setting change.

Touch the watch face, and the hands will move to show the alarm time for about four seconds, and then they move back to showing the current time.

Push the crown while it is flush with the watch to switch the alarm on. When you press the crown to activate the alarm, the hands move to show the current alarm time setting.

Pull the crown out to the second position and turn it to set the hands to the time you want the alarm to go off. Push the crown down to first position, flush with the watch. The hands will move back to show the current time and the alarm mode will be set to "On."

Push the crown to turn the alarm mode to "off," and the minute hand moves to point briefly to the word "Off" located at eight o'clock, and then it goes back to showing the current time. Push the crown again to turn the alarm mode to "On," and the minute hand moves to point briefly to the word "On" located at ten o'clock on the watch face, then goes back to showing the current time.
