Greasy fingerprints can ruin the view and appearance of your flat-screen TV. The sensitive screen requires gentle care to avoid dulling, discolouration and dead pixels. Household cleaners --- especially ammonia-based glass cleaners --- are not suitable for use on most flat-screen TVs, as they can damage the surface. Use gentle products to remove fingerprints and smudges, and restore the look of your flat-screen TV.
Turn off the flat-screen TV.
Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with a small amount of water.
Wipe the TV screen in one direction, applying minimal pressure to avoid damaging the screen. If any fingerprints remain, fill a glass with water and add a capful of isopropyl alcohol.
Dip the cloth in the glass, and wring it out to remove any excess liquid. Wipe the flat-screen TV in one direction until no fingerprints remain.
Dry the flat-screen TV with a clean, soft cloth.
