How to Reset Canon IP4300 Ink

When you want to reset the ink system in your Canon PIXMA IP4300 printer, you can override the ink monitoring system with a few clicks through the menu. When the ink system is running low, the printer may stop printing until you replace the cartridges.
Override the ink replacement system to continue printing until the cartridges run dry. Buy replacement cartridges from a computer supply store when you are ready to replace them.
Turn off the power to your IP4300. Hold down the “Resume” button, then press and hold the “Power” button. Release the “Resume” button. Press and release the “Resume” button twice then release the “Power” button. This should enter maintenance mode.

Press and release “Resume” three consecutive times. Press “Power” to reset the system.
Press and release “Resume” twice. Press “Power” to print a system test page. Make sure all of the settings are valued at zero to show that the system was reset.
