Fabric can be coated in certain substances to change the texture and stability of it. This can be handy when using the fabric for a craft project that requires a draping fabric that is also stiff.
To achieve this texture, you can paint the fabric with lacquer, form it into the desired shape and allow it to dry in place. Once the fabric is dry, you can use it in your project.
Put on protective rubber gloves.
Prepare a piece of cardboard by covering it with newspaper.
Lay the fabric you want to paint onto the cardboard.
