How Do I Replace a Bulb in Bosch Ovens?

Bosch built-in ovens are designed to increase heat distribution to provide shorter cooking times. The ovens have a self-cleaning mode that burns off spilt and spattered food, eliminating the need for scrubbing and the use of harsh chemicals. Some of the ovens are equipped with touch keys. One of the few tasks that must be performed manually on a Bosch oven is replacing the light bulbs.

Turn off the main power supply to the oven at the fuse or breaker box to prevent burns or electrical shock. The light sockets in the oven are live when the door is open.

Turn the glass bulb cover on the ceiling counterclockwise to remove it. Grasp the halogen bulb and pull downward to remove it.

Place a new halogen bulb into the socket and push upward to insert it. Position the glass cover over the bulb and turn clockwise to tighten it.
