How Do I Set Up My Casio Calculator Watch?

Popular since their introduction in the 1980s, Casio Databank series watches offer a calculator feature complete with a keypad that can be used to input text and numerals. Casio Databank watches also have alarms, stopwatches and countdown timers. Another feature is the Telememo mode, which allows users to enter the names and telephone numbers of up to 150 contacts. Setting up your Casio Databank calculator watch is relatively simple and doesn't take long.

  1. Set the time and date on your Casio Databank calculator watch. Press the "A" button to access the time and date setting screen. The seconds place will flash to indicate that you have entered the desired setting screen. Reset the seconds place by pressing the "0" button. Use the "B" or "L" buttons to advance the flashing, then use the keypad to input the correct number values. Press the "PM" button to switch between the a.m. and p.m. settings, if necessary. Use the keypad to enter the date when prompted. When you're finished setting the time and date, press the "A" button to return to Timekeeping mode.

  2. Input contact information in your Casio Databank calculator watch. Press the "B" button to access your watch's Telememo mode. Press the "A" button to make the cursor appear on the New Item Display screen. Use the "B" and "L" buttons to advance the cursor through the text and number fields. Enter the desired letters and numbers using the keypad. When you are finished entering the desired data, press the "+/MC" button to store the data in your watch's memory. Press "A" when you are ready to return to Timekeeping mode.

  3. Set a daily alarm on your Casio Databank watch. Press the "B" button to toggle through your watch's modes until you have accessed Alarm mode. Press the "A" button to make the cursor appear on the alarm setting screen. Use the keypad to enter the desired daily alarm time. Press the "A" to leave the alarm setting screen and return to Alarm mode. Press the "C" button while in Alarm mode to activate your daily alarm. Press any button to silence your alarm when it sounds.

  4. Use the Calculator mode on your Casio Databank calculator watch. Access Calculator mode by pressing the "B" button until the calculator display screen appears. Use the keypad to enter your arithmetic calculations. Press the "D" button to clear a single number value. Press "D" twice to clear the entire calculation. Shift the function of your command keys at the top of the keypad to memory command keys by pressing the "C" button while in Calculator mode.

  5. Tip

    Your Casio Databank calculator watch also has a stopwatch feature. Press the "B" button repeatedly to access Stopwatch mode. While in Stopwatch mode, use the "D" button to start, pause, restart and stop timing. Clear the stopwatch by pressing the "C" button.


    Once the battery power in your Casio Databank watch drops below a certain level, the watch will no longer be operational, and a "BATT" error message will appear on your display screen.
