Spread out the tarp and lay out all of the above materials on it. You will want to prepare the jeans, T-shirt, poster board (three large pieces), buttons, shoes, gardening gloves, oil funnel and the fake axe for painting by laying them out flat. Make certain that each item does not touch anything else. .
Spray paint the front side or top of each item aiming for equal coverage on all parts. Once each item drys, flip them over and spray paint the opposite sides of each item

Once the buttons and posted board have dried thoroughly from the paint, glue the buttons in the centre of the poster board going down to the bottom as shown in the picture above.
Connect two pieces of the poster board together using pipe cleaners. This will be the front and the back of the costume. The buttons indicate the front portion of the costume. Hold one piece up to the front of your body and the second piece up to the back of your body. Secure in place with pipe cleaners. You may want to consider spray painting the pipe cleaners. The costume should rest comfortably on your shoulders and be able to come off over your head.
Cut a five inch strip from the top of your final piece of poster board. This will serve as the collar to the costume. It is better to attach the collar to the front side of the costume rather than both sides. You will still get the effect that you want. Simply tape the strip of poster board to at the top of the poster board with buttons. See the picture above as a guide.
Get into your costume. Start by putting on the jeans, tennis shoes and the long sleeved T-shirt. Use the silver face paint to completely cover your face. Wash your hands thoroughly. Place the poster board over your head and rest the pipe cleaners on your shoulders. Put the oil funnel on your head and secure it if you need to. If you desire, you can use the foil to create the joints as shown above. Simply wrap a long sheet of foil around your elbows and around your shoulders. Place the gloves on, grab your axe and you are ready to go.

If you do not want to spray paint your own clothing, try looking for all of these items at your local thrift store. You will not have to spend much.
Make certain to spray paint everything a few days before you put the costume together. This gives you time to repaint if you need and for everything to dry.
