Hot tea and lemon
Hot lemon drinks have long had the reputation of soothing sore throats and making people feel better if they have a fever. Lemon drinks supply Vitamin C, a necessary vitamin that aids the immune system in functioning properly. To stay healthy, try one of the delicious hot lemon drinks below.
Combine 1 cup of lemon juice and 1 tsp. of sugar.
Boil 2 cups of water and add to the lemon juice and sugar.
Stir all the ingredients together, dissolving the sugar as you stir the drink.
Taste the drink; if it's too sour add more sugar, if it's too sweet add more lemon juice.
Boil 2 cups of water and 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon.
Stir in 1 cup of lemon juice.
Add honey or sugar to sweeten.
Taste the drink. Add lemon juice if it's too sweet and more honey or sugar if it's too sour.
Juice 1 lemon into a large cup.
Slice another lemon into thin slices. Press the cloves into the lemon slices and put the slices into the cup.
Add two tbsps. of honey to the cup.
Boil 1 cup of water and pour over the lemon slices.
Use the cinnamon stick to stir the beverage until the honey has dissolved. Taste the drink. If it needs to be sweeter add a little more honey.
Juice the lemon to get 1/2 cup of juice.
Boil 1 cup of water.
Add the lemon juice and honey or sugar to the water.
Stir the beverage until the honey or sugar dissolves.
Add the mint and ginger as a garnishment and for flavor.
