Epoxy resin is used on many things such as boats, window sills, gutters and swimming pools. You can paint over epoxy resin to match the colour of the rest of the object it is applied to. Epoxy resin will hold its durability for a long time. The epoxy resin helps build a strong, waterproof seal. You can sand and paint epoxy resin yourself.

Sand the surface of the epoxy resin. If you use a sander, keep the RPMs of the sander no higher than 2000 RPMs to avoid scratching the epoxy surface. If using sandpaper, begin with 60 to 80 grit sandpaper, proceed to 120 to 180 grit, then finish sanding with 220 to 280 grit sandpaper.
