Pokemon Charades

Write the name of a Pokemon character and a description of that character on a piece of paper and put it in a container. Make a slip of paper with a different character for each guest you invite to the party. Seat the children in a circle and have the birthday child pull a slip of paper out of the container and act out the character that is on their paper. Tell the other children to try to guess who the character is. Give a Pokemon sticker to the child who guesses the character right. Pass the container to the right and let the next child pull out a piece of paper and act out the character. Continue this activity until all of the children have had a turn.

Pikachu Balloon Stomp

Blow up 50 balloons that are assorted colours. Place a small plastic Pikachu figurine in one of the balloons. Put the balloons in the middle of a room, preferably where there is minimal furniture. Gather the children around and tell them that they have to do the Pikachu stomp by stomping on the balloons to pop them and find the hidden Pikachu figurine. Let the children keep stomping the balloons even when the figurine has been found. Make sure the space where the balloons are being stomped is big enough so that the children are not so close together that they are running into each other.

Make Your Own Pokemon

Set up a table with blank sheets of paper and markers. Have the kids design their own Pokemon character. Tell them to write the name of their character at the top of the page and at the bottom they should write the characteristics of their character. This activity will be useful when children are waiting for guests to arrive or while they are waiting for the food to be served.
