Soft and brittle nails can be treated in a few different ways. Find out how to treat soft and brittle nails with help from a nail specialist and tanning artist in this free video clip.
Hi, I'm Heather, a natural nail specialist in Tampa, Florida. Today, we're going to talk about soft and brittle nails. To fix soft and brittle nails, you're going need to take a couple steps all together to make your nails much better. For the first step, you're going to want to take a sharp pair of nail clippers and cut the nails straight across. You don't want to let your nails grow out too long because that will of course make them soft and brittle and then they will break easier. The next thing you're going to want to do is make sure you get your daily dose of calcium and Vitamin B. Also make sure to have at least one glass of milk and one hard boiled egg each day. The third thing that you're going to want to do for your nails is to make sure to soak them or massage them weekly if not daily with either vegetable oil or another type of cuticle oil. Coconut oil is the best for this. The next thing that you're going to want to do is use your nail file to make sure that there are no cracks, no splits, no sharp edges that you know, will catch anything and make it easier to tear. And that is how we treat soft and brittle nails. Again, I'm Heather, and thank you for watching.
