I'm Terry with Towers Murray Plumbing, here to show you how to repair a toilet siphon. Now, a toilet, to repair the siphon. What a siphon is, is what, where the water creates a siphon to help drain a toilet. Now, most toilets will have a siphon jet. That's this jet here, that jets water out to create the siphon. Toilets also have water that comes out of the rim. Now, the water that comes out of the rim, mainly to help clean the bowl and take the waste out. The siphon jet at the bottom, it can get plugged, it can get plugged with calcium and different minerals. If your siphon, or siphon jet, or any of the jets inside your bowl need cleaning. There are chemicals, different products for cleaning those. I usually put in, not directly into the bowl, but into an overflow of the bowl. That will help you clean out those jets and clean out that siphon. So that your toilet will now flush properly.
