Hi, I'm Sylvia Ferrero, and we're here at Billy Beck III Personal Training Center in Weston, Florida. And today, I'm going to show you how to lose belly fat with exercise. And, to help us demonstrate the exercises, we have Stephanie Preato. So, ladies, the first exercise that we're going to do is a crunch, but with a leg extended. So, go ahead and extend the leg all the way down, okay? And, you start from the floor, okay? And, your ankles are locking, and your toes are facing toward your face. The knees are locked, 90 degrees at the knee here. And, go ahead and put your arms up and behind your head, Steph, perfect. So, you're going just basically put one hand over the other. And then, very slowly, the way this exercise works is, you're going to tighten up the abs, and you're going to come up to meet your toe at the top of the crunch. If you can't reach your toe - up and down really slowly, Steph, perfect - if you can't reach your toe, you can go ahead and aim for the middle of your shin, and even your knee if you have to. Alright, and then the next thing we're going to do is, on the next one, Steph, you're going ahead and hold it up. So, hold it up - the leg up, yeah, you're going to lock out the ankle. So, 90 degrees if you can. If you have to bring it a little lower, that's fine too. And, she's basically going to come up, keeping the leg up this time, and you're reach up towards your shoelace, slow and controlled. There you go. And again, if you can't reach your toes or your shoelaces, you're going mid-shin, or even your knee is fine. So, wherever your ability is at. I would suggest anywhere from 10 to 20 reps. And, you probably want to do this anywhere from one to two times a week. And, really, the best way to burn that belly fat, guys, is to do cardio and introduce a workout like this into your resistance training program. You may want to add this into a circuit, because the reality is, unless you're exercising, just trying to spot reduce, meaning, just trying to burn off the fat in that area, is not going to happen unless you're actually exercising on a regular basis, eating healthy on a regular basis, and drinking plenty of fluids, about half your weight in ounces.
