Tape adhesive doesn't have to stay on your painted walls for the rest of your life. Remove tape adhesive from painted walls with help from a foreman and contractor in this free video clip.
I'm Joshua Clement with Lighty Contractors, and today I'm going to show you how to properly remove adhesive from painted walls. Now, duct tape can be a very very handy thing but one of the problems with duct tape is, it leaves this nasty, nasty stuff on the wall. I want to show you how to very easily remove it with no chemicals. For this, you're going to need a couple tools. I'm going to use a hairdryer on low heat. If you do it too high, you're going to bubble the paint off the walls. We're also going to use 5 in 1. Now, you're going to take the dryer and you're going to go over the surface area for around 30 seconds. Now while it's still warm, take your 5 in 1 or putty knife and gently scratch it off. Now, the reason that we used heat is because it loosens up that glue that's stuck on the wall and the 5 in 1 kind of scrapes it off. You might have to use just a dry rag to help wipe it off but that's all there is to it. Be sure that when you use the 5 in 1 or putty knife that you don't gouge the wall because then you're going to have a lot bigger job. I'm Joshua Clement with Lighty Contractors, and that's how you can properly remove adhesive from the wall.
