Hi, this is Jason Morgan with Muscleworx Fitness in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Today, I'm going to tell you how you can get rid of lower abdominal fat. Lower abdominal fat is probably one of the toughest things in the world to get rid of. You've gotten to a point in your fitness program where you're lean, you're seeing the upper separations on your abs, maybe top two or four separations through the rectus abdominis and you just still have that last little bit of, of roundness or as a lot of women refer to their pooch. When you have that, that really comes down to couple of different factors. First and foremost, it means your diet has to be spot on. You're down to eating extremely lean proteins; basically, just lean proteins and green vegetables. There's not a whole lot of carbohydrate intake at that point. Your body fat level is to really get that last little bit of lower abdominal fat off are going to be extremely low; you know, a lot of time does not a healthy level of body fat especially for women. When they get their body fat levels that low, menstrual cycles can stop; with men, you can get fatigue, lower testosterone levels, things of that nature. So, it's not really a healthy state to be in where your fat extremely lean. However, if you are preparing for a contest, something of that nature and you need to, to get your lower abdominals as tight as possible. You want to make sure you can, seek the help of a certified fitness professional or nutritionist that can help you control your nutritional program; increasing intensity of your exercise routine to make sure that you burn the most fat possible during the course of the day while taking your calorie content and keeping it as high as possible so not to losing that precious muscle mass. Well, if, if you're not looking to compete and you're just trying to tighten and tone up those abs, eight percent, maybe even ninety percent of what you do is all going to involve your nutrition. You have to be willing to make certain sacrifices in order to achieve certain results. If you're trying to make a billion bucks, you got to be willing to, to sacrifice those hours that takes to work hard to, to get the million dollars. If you're after the lower abs and that, that flat look, then, you got to be willing to sacrifice the chocolate or the wine or the, you know, whatever your vice maybe in order to tighten your diet up to that point to be able to really flatten them out and get the separation you're seeking. You can use movements such as leg lifts, hanging knee raises, hanging leg raises from a pull-up bar. Those type of movements tend to focus on the lower region of the core. Remember that the feeling that you're getting in that lower region does tend to be more of the hip flexors and the extensors. The rectus abdominis and transverse abdominis are one big wall of muscle; so, the crunching movements do tend to work that entire group of muscles. But, the lower abdominal region, you have insertion points with those hip flexors, extensors and all those small muscles that would tend to feel more doing the reverse crunches and, and leg lifts and exercises of that nature. Follow those tips and tricks and you'll get rid of that lower abdominal fat.
