Hi, my name is Chris Wade and I'm a contractor from the city of Los Angeles. Today, I'm going to show you how to clean mold off shower tiles. Here we are in our shower tile, and as you can see, we've got all this mold buildup right here in the tile, and mostly the grout. We all know that mold is nasty and we are going to get rid of it. The best thing to use is diluted bleach, 50/50, half bleach, half water and if you feel the need to, wear a mask. Basically you're just going to spray it on the mold areas. As you can see the bleach is starting to work pretty good. It's already starting to penetrate it and you just want to scrub away, scrub it all in there and keep spraying if you need to. I'd recommend wearing rubber gloves if you're going to be using the bleach product. Just get in there, get it all out. As you can see it comes up pretty easily. It really actually does, you know and then reach into your bucket, grab your sponge and then just wipe away all the excess that you've cleaned up. You know and if you have to hit it a couple more times. Just make sure you get it all out. Just keep wiping until it's all gone. I recommend that you do this very often into a shower, especially a shower area and you will prevent the mold from building up. But if you get in take a shower, leave, take a shower, leave and don't get in there and clean it up, we take for granted just because there's water all over the place that the mold and things will just self clean themselves but if you look for mold you will find it in areas around a shower or tub and it's just best to just continue to keep it clean and you know, preventative medicine will take care of it.
