Hi, I'm Charlotte Lawson, a registered and licensed dietitian here in Tampa Bay, Florida. And hopefully, I'm going to give you a few tips in your diet and lifestyle to help build and boost your immune system. Fruits and vegetables are your number one source of vitamins and minerals, and also, lots of good fluids. Keeping up on your hydration status and your vitamins and minerals can help with overall immunity and healthy body function. Another key thing is your lifestyle. Try to make sure your lifestyle is avoiding the stressors and also a good amount of sleep. Recommended eight to nine hours is really what our body needs to totally regenerate and recoup. So when the combination of keeping up on fluids, vitamins and minerals and having good sleep, your body is able to rejuvenate and rehydrate and fix itself to hopefully prepare itself for another day. Also keep in mind, a good exercise program and healthy weight, is also proven to help boost an immune system. When your body exercises you create different hormones and different things that go on that actually produce those good immune system type hormones. And again, immune system fighting things we need. So, good sleep, fruits and vegetables, hydration status and good exercise, should hopefully be a good few tips to help keep and boost that immune system at tip top shape. I'm Charlotte and eat happy.
