Hi, I'm MIke Hirschi with Lighting Archery. Today, we're going to show you how to practice archery. When you go out in your place, where you have a range or you make your own range with setting up a target and so forth. Make sure you have a clear area behind the target so everybody is safe. You just need to have a few arrows that you can shoot, and a good compound bow, make sure that, or any type of bow. Compound, recurve, or a longbow, there's three basic types. Just make sure all your equipment is in god shape. But you'll want to just have a couple arrows and you can practice archery different ways depending on what style archery you do. If you're practicing for 3-D type archery, you know, you'll shoot a few different arrows at different spots. If you're practicing for hunting archery, quite often I like to practice just one shot and then retrieve my arrow because that might be all you ever get is one shot. Today, we're just going to shoot three arrows and we're going to shoot them at different spots, because when you shoot, if you shoot all your arrows at the same spot you can damage arrows a lot easier, and which also puts you at risk of shooting that arrow when it's damaged, it could, something bad could happen with it. It could come apart and cause bodily injury to you. We'll place an arrow into the bow, attach it to the string, set it in the rest, connect your release, draw back, you'll do your anchor, and you'll follow through after your shot (crack), and you'll shoot an arrow. There's one, and you'll practice so you will, everything is clear, and you'll do the same process again. Loading an arrow into your bow, and you'll practice each time, the drawback with a follow through (crack). You'll connect your knock to the string, place your arrow on the rest, connect your release, place it out in front, and then a good aim, and a release, and a follow through (crack). Just like that. Practicing archery is a very fun, it's a very good exercise, relieves stress and it can just be, it should be great fun for even an individual or families. You can do it in your yard, or home, or wherever you can find a good safe place to shoot.
