Welcome everyone! My name is Thanitra Pichedvanichok, otherwise known to my students as Chef T. I'm a Personal Chef, Caterer and Culinary Instructor at Tspoons, my boutique cooking school in Ladera Ranch, California. In this clip, we're going to show you how to clean Calphalon non-stick cookware. As you can see, what we have here is a little burnt on tomato sauce from last night. So, what we're going to need to clean it is a little bit of white vinegar, some dish soap, my non-abrasive sponge and some water. First, I'm going to go ahead and fill it up with the solution of white vinegar and water. I want to use about one cup of vinegar and three cups of water. So, I go ahead and turn on my hot water there and then, we're just going to actually just let this soak for about fifteen minutes. So, now that our pot has been sitting in the water and vinegar solution for about fifteen minutes, I'm going to go ahead and give it a good swirl and as you can see here, all of the food particles have actually dislodged from the pot already. The acid in the vinegar actually helps to break up all of the food particles in there. So, now what we're going to do is we're going to fill it up with a little bit of dish soap. So, just a little squirt of dish soap into the, into the pot. Go ahead and fill it up with a little bit of water just to make a little soapy water solution there. I'm going to take my non-abrasive sponge because you want to make sure of course that you use a non-abrasive sponge for non-stick cookware. If your cookware ever gets scratched, you want to make sure that you actually throw it away because a scratched non-stick surface will actually emit toxins that could be released into your food which overtime could be harmful. So, we're going to go ahead and give it a good scrub and the food is is coming off of there really easily. The vinegar actually really helps with this. So, now we're going to of course, we have to clean the outside as well. Make sure it's nice and clean all over. Now, what we're going to do is rinse it out. As you can see, everything has just really easily come right off and that's a great thing about non-stick cookware. Even the food has caked on overnight, but, just a simple solution, you can really just rinse mot of it out pretty quickly. There you go. And our non-stick cookware is nice and clean. And that's how you clean a Calphalon non-stick cookware.
