Hi, I'm Michelle Karam with Dishes by Michelle from Los Angeles, California. I'm here today to talk to you about cream cheese appetizer recipes. Today, we're going to be making a garlic and sun-dried tomato cream cheese dip. The ingredients that you'll need for this recipe are: one eight ounce package of cream cheese spread, half a cup of sun-dried tomatoes, Miracle Whip, not to be confused with mayonnaise. Some people will think mayonnaise and Miracle Whip are the same thing, the difference is Miracle Whip has added spices in there like mustard seed, garlic powder, turmeric, paprika, all different flavors, so it's kind of more like a dressing. So we're using Miracle Whip. I also have some additional paprika, pepper, salt, one garlic clove, for hence our garlic dip, and also three tablespoons of chopped chives. The first thing that we're going to do is we're going to take our cream cheese which has been sitting out for a little while so it's at room temperature 'cause you know, if it's cold, you're going to be like this tryin' to move it in there and it ain't going to move. So, we have it sitting at room temperature for a little bit so it's easy to mix up. We're going to go ahead and take our chives and we're going to take about three tablespoons worth and we're going to give them a quick chop. So you want to go ahead and just chop the chives, kind of a fine dice. Okay, so now that we have those chopped, we're going to go ahead and just put them right on in to our cream cheese mixture and then we're going to take our garlic clove and we're going to mince it and you want to do kind of a fine like mince on this or really kind of fine dice on this because nobody really wants to bite into a raw pieced of garlic, at least I know I don't, even though it's super tasty. So go ahead and mince that up. This is kind of a hefty garlic clove so it's going to have some good garlic flavor in there. Alright so let's go ahead and just put our garlic clove in there and then we're going to take our Miracle Whip, not to be confused with mayonnaise and we are going to add about three heaping tablespoons of the Miracle Whip into this, alright, and we're going to give it a mix. Okay, so then we got all of this combined and then we're going to take a pinch of our paprika, a pinch of black pepper, a pinch of salt, and then we're going to take our sun-dried tomatoes and these are sun-dried tomatoes that have been cured in olive oil so they have some additional flavors in there. Now don't freak out, you're going to put these sun-dried tomatoes in here and the whole color is going to change but it turns into this beautiful red kind of pinky kind of color and it really is just makes for a great dip, so let's go ahead and put our sun-dried tomatoes in here, olive oil and all and give it a mix, and as you can see, like I said, it's changing color. Now that we've got everything mixed, we're going to go ahead and transfer this into our serving bowl, so let's just pull this over here and empty it all out in there. Let's kind of make it look pretty in there. Okay, I think, I think that we could add a little sprig of chives on top just to make it even more pretty. You know they say presentation is three-quarters of everything, or is it the taste is three-quarters, I'm not sure but it should look good and taste good too so let's go ahead and put a little sprinkle of these chives on top, take our spoon out. So here you have sun-dried tomato garlic cream cheese dip. It's great for dipping veggies on the side or pita chips too. I'm Michelle Karam with Dishes by Michelle in Los Angeles.
