Hello, my name is Rody Carballo, and I am a softball player for FloridaAdultSoftball.com. In this clip, I am going to show you how to pitch softball for beginners. You will need a softball mitt. You will need a ball. You want to come up to the mound, and as a beginner you want to try to pitch from in front of the mound, that way, like I said, you use a lot less weight and a lot less effort in the release of the pitch. You want to make sure you get comfortable on top of the mound. Put most of your weight on your hind leg, you want to carry some weight on your hind legs that way when you come forward, the release is much easier. We are going to go with the old simple underhand pitch. And in real time, this is what it would look like. Always lunging forward. Once again what you want to do is put your weight on your back leg and you are going to come forward with the release. At the same time you want to make sure that we are able to back up to protect yourself once the ball gets hit. Now, we are going to do it in real time all in one step. And this is softball pitching for beginners. This is Rody Carballo; thank you for watching.
