Hello, my name is Rody Carballo, and I am a softball player for FloridaAdultSoftball.com. In this clip, I am going to show you different types of softball pitches. You will need a softball mitt. You will need a ball. We are going to go with your standard pitch which is palm in the ball with your hand. You are going to come up and it's going to be a simple release. You are going to back up a little bit so you can get some pull on your pitch, a little leverage on your leg and you are going to release the ball so. That is the most standard pitch in softball. And the next pitch I am going to show you is one of the best pitches for a pitcher to throw. It is one of the most difficult pitches for the batter to hit also because of the back spin that we are going to put on the ball. And basically what you are going to do is you are going to grab the ball like this, and when you are going to release it you are going to break your wrist in a backward motion. What that does is creates, it creates a rotation on the ball away from the hitter. And I am going to show you in real time how to throw this. And that is the backward spin pitch. This is Rody Carballo; thank you for watching.
