Hi, my name is Tanya Batts. I'm a Personal Trainer at Gold's Gym. I want to talk to you about how to tighten loose abdominal skin after a lot of weight loss. The things you will need for this are some dumbbells, a mat and some space. It could be just weight loss from exercise or maybe even after pregnancy. But, that's skin gets real loose; but, skin has just got an amazing elasticity, so you can absolutely shrink it back. You have to drink plenty of water, that's a big deal. Diet, you want to make sure you're eating, eating right; staying away from certain things. But, let's go onto the floor 'cause I want to target these abdominal muscles. So, we're going to come down one vertebrae at a time and I'm going to take a weight because if you're serious about tightening up those abdominals, you need to add a little bit of resistance. So, I got my legs long. I got this one, this weight is about three pounds, it can be heavier if you want it to be. I'm going to roll up and touch the top of the foot. So, the fact that I'm reaching my arms over head is strengthening, is actually lengthening the abdominal muscles which means it's going to help them get a little flatter. "Hmmm, ohhh." One more. Whew! So that's really targeting the core muscles. Alright, so I'm going to come down, right back down; hug the knees in and I'm going to keep the left knee into the chest and actually the right leg is going to go long, right arm over head, left arm down by your side. I'm going to do this opposite arm, opposite leg; looks really pretty. But I tell you what, when you, because you're lifting, kind of sending the leg away, sending your arm overhead, what's happening is it's tightening, it's toning like you wouldn't believe. Two more, last one. Alright, another one. Knees to chest, taking both legs up, gluing shoulder blades to the floor; I'm going to draw a huge ceiling, a circle on my ceiling. Abs are in, we're breathing for real. That is working every single muscle on the core. You may not believe it, but it is. And then you want to go the opposite direction. Then you can make the circles any size you want. But I tell you, it's targeting the middle, ridiculous. Alright. So, those are a few great ways you can kind of, kind of tighten up the abdominal area where you got all that loose skin from all that weight loss. Good for you. But, a few things you can do, you got to eat right, drink plenty of water, keep exercising 'cause you're doing great and keep those abdominals nice and tight and you want to work them so they are burning. That's the goal, burn the middle. And that's how you're going to do it.
