A woman's shoe size is measured by the length and width of her foot, and both measurements can be compared on a universal sizing chart. Determine the proper shoe size based on those two measurements with advice from a fashion magazine editor-in-chief in this free video on style accessories.
Hello, my name is Summer Bellessa with Eliza Magazine, and I'm here to show you how to measure a woman's shoe size. What you're going to need is a piece of paper that's bigger than your foot, some tape, a tape measurer, a pencil, and then we're going to show you some graphs. So, you're going to need those to figure out exactly what size you are. So, you're going to start with your piece of paper. You're going to tape it to the ground. Then you're going to put your foot on the piece of paper and trace around your foot. Then you're going to take your ruler and make a line from each side. So, you're going to make a line on the left side, and you're going to make a line on the right side, and then on the bottom and on the top, so, at the outermost points. Then you're going to take either your ruler or your measuring tape and measure from the top to the bottom line, and from the left to the right line. Then you're going to take those two measurements and find them on the graph, and that will show you what size shoe you are. So, for the up and down, that gives you your general shoe size, and then the left and right, which is your width, will give you whether you're regular or you need narrow or wide shoes. I am Summer Bellessa with Eliza Magazine, and that is how to measure a woman's shoe size.
