Hi, my name is Tanya Batts and I'm a personal trainer at Gold's Gym. Here's a few gym exercises you can do for a slipped disc. The things you will need for this are a back extension machine, some space and some good shoes. You'll be really careful, but you don't want to just stop everything. You have got to keep moving. You have got to keep the low back very strong. So, here's how. This is a great machine, kind of using gravity. So, you've got your thighs on these two pads here, my heels are here. So, it's a great machine. You've got to get used to it. I'm going to start with my arms crossed. I'm going to lower and lift. So, I'm actually getting an amazing stretch through the spine, and I'm getting amazing strengthening exercise through the back. If you want it a little bit harder, fingertips on the head. You want to inhale and exhale. So, that makes it a little bit harder. Another thing we're going to do, I'm going to turn to the side. So, one foot in front of the other, because I want you to strengthen those obliques because I want your spine to be strong. I'm just going to lower and lift. So, that's really working the obliques, right there on the side. You've got to get all the muscles along the spine really strong if you have got a slipped disc. So, you notice I'm not going too far down, but enough to where it's really starting to burn. And those are just a few simple exercises that you can do to really strengthen the muscles all along the spine to really help you get that slipped disc feeling a lot better.
