I'm Sue Walker, and I'm going to show you a Swedish meatballs and brown gravy recipe. You will need a large bowl, measuring cups, measuring spoons, a large skillet, thongs, a casserole dish, and an oven. The ingredients are: 1 pound of ground beef, 1/4 pound of ground pork, 1 1/4 cup of fresh bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons of minced onion, 1 egg slightly beaten, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, 1/8 teaspoon of pepper, 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1/2 cup of milk, 4 tablespoons of butter, 3 tablespoons of flour, 2 cups of beef broth and 1 cup of cream. Combine the bread crumbs, onion, salt, pepper, nutmeg and milk in a large bowl. Let it stand for five minutes until the bread absorbs the milk. Stir in the egg, ground beef and ground pork. Melt the butter in the skillet. Brown the meatballs in the butter. Remove the meatballs to the casserole dish. Blend the flour into the drippings in the skillet. And using a gravy whisk, cook and stir until bubbly. Add the beef broth and the cream and continue cooking until the gravy thickens. Pour the gravy over the meatballs.
