Hello, I'm Sue Walker and I'm going to show you how to use a meat thermometer with chicken. You will need a meat thermometer and your cooked chicken. With bone in chicken breasts, place the meat thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken. Place it all the way to the bone. It should read 170 degrees. For chicken breasts with no bone and no skin, place the thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken halfway through. Your temperature should read 170 degrees. If you are roasting a whole chicken, place the thermometer into the chicken breast part, put it all the way to the bone. It should read 170 degrees. And that is how to use a meat thermometer with chicken.
