Hi, I'm Michael Weisner. I'm an animator, 2-D illustrator and graphic designer and today I'm going to show you how to draw fashion clothes on fashion figures. First, you're going to want to get paper and a writing utensil. Now, I've already roughed out today's image with a light graded pencil just to save time. So, let's get started. Alright guys, let's go ahead and draw some quick samples of how to draw clothes on a fashion figure. First, you're going to want to start with the basic shape of your figure. Now, it doesn't matter if it's very realistic or not. What matters is the design and how the clothes look, and flow with the human figure. So, we're just going to draw a cartoonish woman, quick joints of her body, her elbow, her wrist and bring it up and draw her legs and then I'm going to throw in a bit of a hairstyle too. Because I feel clothes should match the hair as well. Now facial details are not very important for this, so we're just going to go ahead and give her a very simple nose, close her eyes and lips. Now that we have got that set up, let's start drawing our dress. Now I've started drawing the very base of it. I'm going to start doing the details for it. So, I kind of want a mix of the Chinese feel. So, we'll add that, have a little cut at the top of the dress and then start adding some frills and then maybe add a very big loopy belt and that is our first design. Now, we want to add some more detail to it, so let's go ahead and throw some dots in. That's our first dress. Now, let's get to work on our second fashion for our fashion figure. Now to begin with, same as before start by drawing out the figure. Now that I have got a basic understanding of how I want her body to look with the clothes I'm going to first start by drawing a little shirt on her and of course it's going to be bigger than what it's supposed to be and then have another black shirt like sort of a black tank top, add a bit of a rose right here because I like it darken that and draw out her arms and then draw out her head and then I'm going to give her pretty hair. There we go. Now the final step I'm just going to go with the conventional girl wearing a tank top shirt. So, first, draw her basic form, start drawing out the shape of the shirt with her body and I'm going to change it up by giving her a little bit shorter jeans. There we go. Add a necklace and then finally I'm going to add a graphic of the sun, then maybe a couple of patches right here because that used to be hip, worn out pants and whatnot. And that's how you draw clothes with fashion figures. I'm Michael. I hope you enjoyed. I'll see you next time.
