The ingredients you will need are one-third cup of flour; one-half teaspoon of pepper; one and one-half pounds of beef stew meat cut into one-inch cubes; one and one-half teaspoons of salt; one cut up onion; two tablespoons of oil; three cups of cut up potatoes; two cups of carrots cut into chunks; one cup of chopped celery; one cup of canned green beans; one-half cup of frozen peas; one teaspoon of garlic salt; one-half teaspoon of sweet Hungarian paprika; one teaspoon sugar; one-half teaspoon of ground thyme; one bay leaf; three cups of beef stock; two teaspoons of kitchen bouquet and one tablespoon of tomato paste. The first step is to mix one-third cup of flour with one and a half teaspoons of salt and one-half teaspoon of pepper. Mix them together and coat the beef stew meat. In a large pot, heat the two tablespoons of oil. Brown the meat in the oil until it's brown on all sides. After the meat is browned, add the vegetables. Now we add the seasonings. Pour in the three cups of beef stock, two teaspoons of kitchen bouquet and one tablespoon of tomato paste. Stir all the ingredients together and bring to a boil; then turn the heat down to low and simmer for two to three hours or until the meat is tender. Remove the bay leaf.
