Hi I'm Sue Walker and I'm going to show you a chicken and wild rice soup recipe. The ingredients are one and a half cups of diced cooked chicken, one half cup of butter, one fourth cup minced onion, one third cup of flour, three cups of chicken broth, two and a half cups of cooked wild rice, two cups of cream, one half cup grated carrots, one fourth cup of slivered almonds and one half teaspoon of salt. The first step is to saute your butter and your onion together. Then, using a gravy whisk, you blend in your one half cup of flour and stir it until it's all smooth and bubbly. Then stir in your three cups of chicken broth and cook until it starts to boil and thicken. Add your cooked wild rice, your chicken, grated carrots, slivered almonds and salt. Bring to a boil again, stir in your cream and heat through, and that is a chicken and wild rice soup recipe.
