"Hi my name is Tanya Batts and I am a personal trainer with Gold's Gym. Wanted to show you the proper way on how to do a one handed push-up. Ok here is how we I want you to set up. So what you want to do is, have the legs really wide. Now both hands usually under the shoulder for a standard push-up, but because you got one hand you have kind of got to bring that hand a little bit, not quite directly below the face, but close enough. So the abs are in, you might want to have to turn the finger tips in just a little bit, you want to lower and lift. Kind of hard to do. Knees if you want going to be a little bit easier. You still want the knees to be fairly wide. Inhale and exhale. Switch hands it is tricky, who we kidding here? It is a whole lot of tricep involved. So that is how you do a one handed push-up, takes an incredible amount of upper body strength and shoulder strength. So it is just a good thing to do it is really just kind of to impress people. It is not the safest thing to do because it puts a lot of pressure on wrists, but that is how you attempt a one armed push-up."
