I think color and color schemes are the single most important factor in a room right behind the focal point. So paint and colors are going to invoke the most emotion. Several popular color shades right now are the brown and the blues. I mean it invokes the feeling of warm and cool. Everyone is cozy and they love the warm browns and then the white splashes of blue so that is what I would say would be the biggest fad or the biggest fashion right now as far as interior design goes. Several other different color schemes, people are really branching out and they're not doing that whole traditional burgundies and greens and so forth that I think for a long time people felt like your home had to be cozy and you really wanted to use the traditional warm colors. People can use bright colors now and still make their home inviting and it truly I believe I always challenge my clients to think about their mood and to consider their mood, paint one wall bright orange and see every morning when you wake up like if it doesn't really change subconsciously the way that you interact and the way that you deal within your own home. So your home and a certain space is a reflection of who you are so think about who you are and then choose your color scheme accordingly.
