Are you a member of any rewards program? Airlines, restaurants, whatever? But ask yourself this, do you reward yourself? How to please yourself is the topic. I'm Dr. Paul, author of Boomer Girls, a boomer woman's guide to men and dating. Pleasing yourself is important because you acknowledge your accomplishments. Here is something I am doing to reward myself. I've had a tough day at the office, I'm just going to sit down and sit in that bathtub if you're female and have bubble bath and maybe some champagne and just relax. I'm going to reward myself. I'm going to please myself. I'm not going to worry about the kids, I'm not going to worry anything, I'm just for a moment for time pleasing myself. Same thing with you men. Hey, look, I've had a rough day, I mean I just don't want to deal with it anymore. I'm just going to go out and I'm going to shoot some hoops by myself because it relaxes me. I'm going to please myself. Its a system of rewards and you deserve it. You work hard. You fought the good fight. Reward yourself. I'm not talking about material things. I'm not talking about oh I'm going to buy myself a new sports car because I'm rewarding myself, no you're not, you're going to make payments on it or you're going to drop a bundle. By rewarding yourself, I'm talking about pleasing yourself with the little things that you may not have a chance to do. For example, you may come home saying well I'm just beat, I think I'm going to drop pickup the rod and go out there and see if I can catch some fish. Do something. Just be by the water, OK? As is the case of the lady who says well I'm going to buy a new pair of shoes, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about pleasing yourself by having had oneness with yourself. That's what pleasing yourself is all about. Its kind of an internal meditation. Its all about you at this point in time because you deserve it as a human being. This is Dr. Paul, may your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow.
