"You find yourself with a fever, or just feeling rather warm, there are certain things you can do to help reduce that fever. I'm Dan Carlson. I'm a nurse. One way is to cool your surroundings, make sure it's a cool environment that you're sleeping in. A cool comfortable, not cold, but cool. Maybe just turn on a air conditioner, get a fan on you but, if you find that it's not helping a fever at all, it might help to take a lukewarm bath. Lukewarm baths rather than cold baths can help get your body temperature down to a regular level. Another thing to do is take certain medications like non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs and they can help bring it down internally and make you feel a little better. Also another thing to do to bring down a high fever, is to place cold compresses or wet wash cloths under the armpits and in the groin. That'll help your circulation cool your body as it cools your blood in that area. If you find that none of these treatments are working for treating your fever, definitely consult a physician as it may be something that he needs to treat himself. Thank you, that's how to take care of, how to reduce a fever. I'm Dan Carlson."
