Replacing ink for a Canon computer printer is done by opening the lid and pulling up on the leg, which then allows the cartridge to be pulled out. Exchange old ink cartridges on a Canon printer with a new one using help from an IT professional in this free video on computer accessories.
Hello. My name is Eric White. We're going to talk about how to replace the inkjet cartridges on a Canon printer. And, what I've gone and done is I've went out to the Canon website and I just looked up a random printer. The PIXMA MX three-ten. Canon's printers all function fairly similarly in how they're constructed and how to replace the cartridges. Make sure the printer is on. What you're going to do is lift up the lid and there's a little leg that you pop into place to hold it open for you so you don't smush your fingers. And, then you just reach in and remove the cartridge. Once you have the cartridge out you can take the new cartridge out of the package and then lay it down flat and you're going to see a little sticker on it. Just peel the sticker towards the bottom and off. Just take it right off. And, what that sticker's doing is it's covering the metal contact that allows the ink to flow into the printer. So, once you have the sticker off it's going to look like this picture here. Nothing covering it up. The next step is just to insert the cartridges directly into their slots. They're going to make a nice click sound and then they're in. Once you have those inserted windows is going to pop up and say please align print cartridges. Go ahead and let it align the print cartridges. That's something that needs to happen every time you install a new cartridge. Once that's done you're done. You've installed a new print cartridge on your Canon printer.
