Putting in a nose stud, also known as a nose bone, involves pressing the jewelry into the piercing until the ball on the end gets pushed through the hole. Change out nose jewelry using pre-sterilized studs with tips from a licensed piercer in this free video on body modification.
Hi I'm Tristan McCauley from Lucky Seven Tatoo and I'm going to show you how to put in a nose stud. You want to make sure first off that the jewelry is presterilized and prepackaged before you try to put it in otherwise it could have some kind of contamination and it could be cross contaminated which could lead to infection. The nose stud is also referred to as a nose bone being that it has the little bead on the back and it looks actually like a bone. The first thing you want to do is grab the side of the nose and just press really lightly and that little bead will go right in. You want to make sure it sits flush with the face so it is not protruding. It is not looking off to the side. It is not crooked and that's pretty much the main objective just so it looks good. You want to make sure that the people you buy the jewelry from are clean, they're sterile. If you go to a tatoo shop make sure that they are a reputable place and that they are regulated by the local health department and OSHA and that is how you put in a nose stud.
