Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to move your user files in Windows Vista. Every user in Windows Vista has a document's folder. What we're going to do is change the location of that document's folder in Vista. I'm logged on as the username Dave. To change where Dave's documents go to, find the documents item in your start menu, right click on it and go to properties. This list the properties for that document's folder. What we want to do is change the location by clicking on the location tab. The folder that's listed here is where my documents currently go. To change where they're pouring, I'm going to click on move. This pulls up my desktop and I'm going to create a new folder under my desktop by right clicking on it, going to new and saying folder, I'm going to say "my new documents". I mouse click on it, I'm going to say select folder. This is now populated the minor documents into the words located field. To move them, let's click on apply. Now it's going to tell you that you're moving the location of your documents, it's going to ask you if you want to copy what you already have to the new location. I'm going to say yes. Vista has copied all my files to a new location. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to move user documents in Windows Vista.
