Hello my name is Julio Nutt and I'm a master instructor at the Jim McClean Golf School in Miami, Florida. In this clip I'm going to talk about a great drill for you to develop the good habit of hitting down on the ball. Many amateurs get into their golf position they take good back swings but then when they are coming back to the ball they are trying to hit up on the ball. By using golf balls and throwing the golf balls while you are doing the golf swing will develop your habit of throwing the ball down and the club down. Your hands need to be going down as you hit the golf ball. Let me show you this drill. If I were to throw this ball like most amateurs play golf they come here and they hang it to the right side and I'm throwing the ball way up but now I'm going to make sure my ball is going to hit hard into the ground and I'm going to rotate back, rotate forward and I'm going to make sure that ball is actually thrown down and forward. As you see my whole body motion is coming down. My weight is shifting to my left side, my body is opening in relation to the target line and I'm throwing down and the ball goes with a lot of speed and power forward because my weight is really helping me. This is Julio Nutt at the Jim McClean Golf School.
