Hi, my name is Joe, I'm in Breaktime Billiards in Wilmington, North Carolina and I'm going to show you a shot that's called the Backward shot. Now you're playing the game of nine ball, and your opponent misses or you shoot terrible shape, and somehow or another you end up in this position right here, which the two balls are perpendicular to each other from one diamond to the other. It appears like the shot cannot go. But, I'm going to play this nine ball into this pocket. Now the only way - the only thing that you have to do is you have to shoot the cue ball into the rail. And shoot it with a moderate stroke and that should make the nine ball go into this pocket. And that's how you do the Backward shot.
