To aim in billiards, draw a line from the pocket to the ball to determine the contact point that the cue ball must address. Aim and determine the correct angles for making billiards shots with tips from an experienced pool player in this free video on billiards.
Hi, my name's Joe. I'm at Breaktime, in Wilmington, North Carolina, and we're going to talk about how to get the point of aim on an object ball. It's relatively simple. If I want to make the nine ball into this pocket I would draw a line from the pocket to the ball. Where the line intersects this nine ball is my point of aim, which is that spot right here. Now, I know that I want the contact point on the cue ball to hit that point of aim in order to make it to go into that pocket, so I'm going to aim this cue ball so that it will hit that point of aim to make the ball. And that's how you use the point of aim to determine where to hit so that you can pocket the ball.
