"So have you recently been told that you need a filling on your tooth? Well my name is Michelle and I'm a dental assistant with Solutionz and I'm here to explain to you on what you should expect during your filling procedure. First of all when you go see your general dentist the first thing he is going to do is get you numb so nine times out of ten that requires you to have a shot. Most of the shots you don't really feel. They use a type of jiggling in the cheek method to distract you so therefore you don't feel the shot. But once the anesthetic has been placed then you will start to feel what we call like a little pins and needles type feeling. It feels kind of like your cheek and your tooth is falling asleep and then once the anesthetic has fully taken effect you will not feel anything but you would need to expect pressure of the dentist working in that area. Of course he is going to have to use the dental drill so you are going to hear the drill and then there is going to be a lot of water because with the drill it produces a lot of heat and if you are putting direct heat on to your tooth you can actually be doing damage so in that sense there has to be water that is sprayed on to the tooth to keep it cool so therefore you don't do any damage to the nerve so whenever you are having a dental filling done you definitely need to expect a lot of water being sprayed in that area, the sound of the drill, and then also the shot that needs to be administrated so therefore you can get numb for the procedure so therefore you won't have any discomfort but getting a dental filling is very easy so don't worry just consult with your general dentist and he will be able to walk you through it. Once again my name is Michelle and I'm a dental assistant with Solutionz and I just explained to you on what you should expect during a dental filling."
