Do you have dental implants and you're just unsure on how to clean them properly? Well my name is Michelle and I'm a Dental Assistant with Solutionz and I'm going to explain to you and show you on how you can clean your dental implants. It's pretty easy. You basically, you're going to be cleaning and brushing them just like you normally would with your natural teeth. I have little sample here of an implant. This is what an implant looks like without a crown on it. But, if you picture that you have a crown on top of this which is a tooth that looks just like similar to this one, you would just normally, what you would want to do with your implant is, well sorry, with your toothbrush is you just want to really focus on your gums around the implant. Actually you want to focus tilting your toothbrush up a little bit and kind of moving the toothbrush back and forth in a back and forth motion or even in like a circular motion, this way the bristles would get up underneath your gums and all around the implant base. Therefore you're removing any plaque or debris that might be attached to the implant. And then after you're done brushing your teeth around the implants, you're going to want to floss your teeth. Normally and basically when you floss with your, for an implant, you want to floss regularly as you would with your natural teeth. You want to create what we call is like a sea motion. You basically, you're just going to put the floss over and between the implant and the tooth and then curve it around to where it hugs the side of the implant and then pull down. Therefore you're pulling any excess bacteria or debris that might be attached to the implant. But, it' pretty easy on when it comes to brushing and taking care of your implants. You just take care of them, brush them and floss them like you normally would with your regular natural teeth. Once again, my name is Michelle and I'm a Dental Assistant with Solutionz and I just explained to you on how to take care of your dental implants.
