Hello, my name's Rebecca Herrick, I'm here at Everything Peaceful in Wilmington, North Carolina to discuss different types of Chinese Massage. Chinese Massage is typically called traditional Chinese medicine, there's many different variations. Over five thousand years of clinical experience has gone into creating traditional Chinese Massage and the different types such as Twena, Acupressure, Shiatsu and many more are also, are all basically based on the premise of balancing the body's chi, or energy, or life force in the body. This chi flows through the different meridians and the difference between the different types of Chinese massage would be how they address these in balances. For example: Shiatsu is done on the floor with the client fully clothed working with different weight distribution to help to balance the different energy meridians that way. Acupressure is more focused on static friction and digital pressure to the meridians, searching for imbalances of that nature. So, those are the different types of Chinese Massage.
