Hi this is Sean Hobson and what we want to talk about right now is the purpose behind the screen and roll offense. This is an offense that I love to use because it is very very hard to stop if you use it in the proper way. What we are trying to do here is we are trying to get a two man game between our guard and our post players. This also is going to get some good motion between the wings and the other post players where we get some people in different areas and we are setting some ball screens to keep the defense from playing one on one. So what we are doing here when we talk about pick and roll or a high screen and roll offense is we want our post player to come up, he is going to set a screen at the top of the key and then we are going to get the screen and he is going to roll. That is what a screen and roll is. We also will run a lot of screen and roll offenses where they screen and roll to the side where the ball goes to the wing and then the post is going to come and set a screen and roll on the side. When we do the screen and roll what it does is it causes some mismatches between the defense. They don't know whether to switch, they don't know whether to come up or what to do and it is going to get some good isolation with our post players rolling to the middle and our guards coming off and then it gives us some selection of whether we want to drive or whether we want to give it to the post. So it is a good offense to use if you want some versatility in the style of offense.
