Video Transcript

"This next pose is royal pigeon and it will be demonstrated both as royal pigeon and resting pigeon. So hands planted on the Earth, we are bringing the right knee as it is bent forward. We are planting our outer thigh on to the Earth. You will feel a nice stretch in through your hips and the left leg, the back leg, the knee is planted on the Earth, the top of the foot is planted on the Earth as well. Now opening the chest we draw the shoulder blades back, lifting the chin to the sky to feel that beautiful opening into the rib cage, into the heart and we are sort of resting and surrendering into the posture so we are not lifting it up too much, we are resting the pelvis down. Breathe and breathe and breathe into royal pigeon. So just like a pigeon has that open rounded chest, so do we. Then resting pigeon we are extending the torso down, forehead to the Earth. You will feel a beautiful opening into the hip on the right side resting and breathing and then coming back up plant those hands right by the face and lift it back up. Then to come out just release that back leg coming in to sitting."
