When you've knit your foot to its desired length which is approximately 2 inches below the edge of your toe you're going to begin to do your toe shaping. So on needle 1 you're going to knit to three stitches before the end of the needle and you're going to knit two together. Knit one. And then you're going to work on your instep shaping so you'll have decreases on either side. So you'll knit one then you'll do a slip, slip, knit. Knit those two together. And work across to the last three stitches. And knit two together. And knit one. And then you'll go to your last needle, needle 3 and you're going to knit 1, slip, slip, knit. Knit to the end and that's your first decrease round. For the next round you'll just knit your stitches evenly across the row.
