Video Transcript

"Mesothelioma is an uncommon cancer. In the United States, the incidence is approximately 2,200 patients annually. That figure may rise a little bit, although, eventually, will be expected to fall, primarily because of better workplace control of asbestos fibers. In Europe, Japan, and especially in the third world, the incidence is going to continue to rise because of continued exposure to asbestos. This is in contrast to the more standard forms of lung cancer -- non small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer -- where there are 220,000 cases a year."
