Hi I'm James with JNC Home Repair. Today I'm going to show you how to clean out a shower head. We have a shower head here that's already been removed out of a shower. The most common problem is it's hard water deposits that are inside the shower head itself. If you'll look real closely inside you'll see a little white ring in there with a bunch of little bitty holes. That the actual, this is actually where the water flows through the shower head. And when you've got deposits coming up through the water, what happens is, is it clogs those little bitty holes. And it restricts the water flow out of the shower head. Some of these you'll pull them off and they'll actually be a screen there. What you need to do is if there's a screen there you'll see some deposits there, all you do is just clean them out, scrape it out and then plug it back in and you're ready to go. Now this one right here, this will take a little bit more effort to clean it out. You'll actually have to get something in there real small to kind of poke in those little bitty holes and try to clear that stuff out and then you can just put it under the faucet and rinse it out and then you'll be good to go. But it's basically that simple. If you have any more questions on this you can contact me at jnchomerepair.com.
